What does nomal Sponsorship cover? |
- School fees if needed
- School uniforms, shoes

What does Sponsorship for orphaned children cover? |
Costs are higher because accommodation and care are required. Costs may be too high for a single sponsor, so our system allows for two or more sponsors per child. - School costs
- Accommodation and "family" care at a Kingscare supported Children's Home.
- Food, clothes, shoes etc
- Medicine if needed

What about University Students |
Costs are higher because University fees and accommodation are needed. Costs may be up to £100 a month and are too high for a single sponsor, so our system allows for two or more sponsors per student. - University fees if needed

How does Sponsorship Work? |
- Various overseas churches and Christian organisations select students and send details to Kingscare in the UK.
- We invite you register on-line or fill in the response form in a leaflet
- Kingscare sends you a sponsorship card containing a photograph and brief details of the student.
- You may then communicate with “your” student.

How much does it cost and how do I pay? |
The normal cost is £21 per month, but you could give anything between £15 and £30 per month. 1. Tell us: - The country (if important to you)
- Do you want a boy, girl or either
- Specify age range (if important to you)
2. You can Pay the first months sponsorship by credit card OR Reserve a child by
- Giving us your name and email address and your postal address so that we can send you a form.
- You may print out a bankers order form, fill it in and then send it to us.

Can I write to the child? |
Yes, please do! We ask you to send it through us and we will ensure that it is translated. We cannot guarantee replies, but we actively encourage the children or the families to write once every six months. However cultural and practical communication differences mean that forming a relationship is possible but needs to be “worked at”. <Back to top> |
What about Birthdays and Christmas? |
You may send a card through us - but please no presents. At Christmas we will invite you to contribute to a Pooled Christmas Fund to ensure that all children receive the same extra amount. <Back to top> |

What about administration charges? |
Kingscare spreads charity governance costs, project support costs, and publicity costs across all projects in proportion to the income of that project. In 2008 this amounted to about 16%. <Back to top> |
Will Gift Aid Help? |
Gift Aid adds about 25% to the value of the gift. This amount will also go for the benefit of children covered under the sponsorship scheme <Back to top> |
Is there a direct link between my gift and the amount spent on "my" child? |
Needs vary for each student according to the country, the type of school an exchange rates etc. The average cost is £21 per month across all countries. You can be sure that the education of "your" child will be a priority but some of your money or the gift aid tax relief maybe also used to benefit other children. <Back to top> |
