Dear Supporter

Last year in early November I wrote to you about the weakening pound due to the recession. Since then we have begun a 2 year commitment, with £17,000 from over 50 people that support us on a monthly basis. I know that all of the children and families affected by your generosity are very thankful for all they receive.

At Kingscare we are very grateful for this, as it helps us keep our commitments to those in need. The help and support provided by this money gives them the hand of help they need, to get them out of the cycle of poverty they are bound by.

As a follow up we are asking if you can help us in keeping our commitment to the men, women and children around the world that so dearly need our help. For many that have committed to £15 per month, this would only mean another £3 on top an existing commitment. If you have already raised your gift as a result of last years appeal, please do not feel under any obligation to raise it further, though we won't stop you if you want to.

Reduced strength of the Pound against the Dollar continues.

As you can see in the Graph, the exchange rate has not improved since our letter in November last year. Although your gifts and donations have been gratefully received, the situation for our partners overseas is still difficult.

God is faithful and he provides, but faith without works is dead. We believe that God is going help in this situation, let's put our hands to the plough and make it happen.

Kingscare is all about causing change in the lives of those less fortunate than us. Not everyone is called to be a missionary in Uganda, but the bible does call on us all to meet the needs of the poor, that is the change we are all here to make.
