Atulya Girl's home, Delhi, India

Atulya Girls Home is for teenage girls and young women exiting the sex industry or other abuse situations. ‘Atulya’ in Hindi means without price; unequalled; limitless; immeasurable; unique.

These are the values that the home want to give to the girls, that a price cannot be placed on them, that they are unique, precious and with God they are ‘limitless’.

The Vision

‘To see young women coming out from captivity into freedom in Christ’.

Background to Home

Every day about 200 girls and women in India enter prostitution, 80% of them against their will. Primarily factors causing the girls to enter into prostitution stem from poverty. Many are tricked into the industry and are locked up for days, starved, beaten and burned with cigarettes and electric wires until they learn how to service up to 25 clients
a day.
