New Beginnings Children's Home, Albania

 

Paulin and Luli Vilajeti are leading figures in Christian work in Albania and have
taken on role of directors, overseeing the children and staff at the home.

The Children

In 2005 the children's home moved from Berat to a new house in Tirana the capital of Albania.

The vision is to take children out of state-run institutions and place them in a small family type home managed by Christians.

The home provides a loving, caring and supportive environment with more personal attention given to each child.

There are currently 11 children at the home. They are Gazi, Elona, Resi, Joni, Pireta, Dashmira, Erioni, Bujana, Eda, Kristjan and Kristjana.

The children have often been abandoned by their parents. Many parents have not been able to afford to keep the child or have been too unwell to look after them properly.
